RTSA AND ZAMBIA POLICE ON CHINGWERE TURNOFF FATAL ACCIDENT

Of the Accident along Great North Road in line to Zambia Police (ZP) and Road Transport and Safety Agency (RTSA) let us analyze the two works.

RTSA is not clear on the bus that obstructed the track on a wrong pick up point...in my opinion their investigations are incomplete.

They have found the Truck Driver on the wrong, what of the Obstructer??

What lessons should Public Bus operators draw from RTSA’s investigations?

Public Buses make any point as a bus stop even on caves and slopes risking so many lives.

Also at what Speed vehicles should be drivers be at when descending a Hill at Zani Muone?
What Speed was the Truck driver at? And What Speed was the Rosa Bus at, because both ends have a Slope towards Chingwere turnoff, however from Northwards the slope is greater.

Secondly Zambia Police Reported that the Accident happened around 18:40 hours when Money FM Radio arrived at the accident scene around 17:15 hours and broadcasted live on Air around 17:26, a few minutes just before the 17:30 hours News.

In my opinion, Zambia Police lacked accuracy on the time of the accident. It took about an hour for relevant Authorities to come to the scene...maybe they meant to say the accident happened around 16:40...hours.

However the ZP statement read….

RAE HAMOONGA

ZAMBIA POLICE SPOKESPERSON.

In conclusion, The New Dawn Administration of President Hakainde Hichilema should look into such details.
Small things really matter, more especially when it has to do with People's lives.

Kudo's to members of the community who rushed to the scene and help out those who got trapped and offered their blankets to cover casualties. that is the spirit of ubuntu.

Our Zambian Emergency response teach should pull up its socks and authorities should work on their fact finding mechanisms.

Below are some of the reactions by Social Media Users on RTSA's findings.

WILL THE IMF FREEZE JOBS IN ZAMBIA?

Well after a number of speculations on Social Media and some stakeholders skyrocketing  unverified information..... The Fog has been cleared on understanding of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)program. Key points  picked after a Zambia-IMF Advocacy and Communication program media engagement in Chilanga District of Lusaka Province at Sandy's creation Resort from Ministry of Finance and National Planning Permanent Secretary are that; *The IMF program does not Freeze Jobs in Zambia. *The IMF program does not Freeze Salaries in Zambia. *Subsidies in Agriculture will be there, Agriculture is the biggest employer in Zambia. *The subsidies that government is reforming are the ones on Fuel. With these pints among others, FACT Checks has been done and dusted. This is on the back of a  $1.3 billion 3 year Extended Credit facility program  approved to Zambia by IMF.

Mobile Money Agents Security

Opinion In Short, any place where there is a Transaction of Huge Sums of Money or Financial Transaction, there is need for the Presence of The Police or Security with a Fire Arm. Mobile Money booths are now transacting huge sums of Money compared to some Banks due to the advent of technology…They have taken over much of the financial transactions due to their easy methods of withdrawing and depositing Cash. However one aspect that has been ignored is the security of the agents. Probably, in any respective area there should be the presence of the Police, just as banks have the police and security firms. This can be done in a holistic approach with the Local Authorities where if an area has a lot of booths, there can be an agreed fee for security such as an Insurance Policy. Though agony is for those Booths in isolated areas, but a solution can be found with them as well, such as Panic buttons (Electronic device designed to assist in alerting somebody in emergency situations
